We are 28 employees and two office dogs – a team that thinks, designs, and lives together. In Hamburg, we develop sophisticated products for everyday urban life – with creativity, team spirit, and a touch of spontaneity.
From the initial idea to international marketing, we manage all processes ourselves. This allows us to remain flexible, close to the product, and always open to change.
What drives us is collaboration. Our ideas arise from exchange – honest, direct, and drawn from real life. This is precisely what creates products with clarity, character, and everyday practicality.
how it all started
We are Timm and Jonas, the founders of Johnny Urban. During our studies, we lived in a shared apartment and felt the energy of the city. In 2015, the idea for the perfect city backpack was born: simple, versatile, and no-nonsense. One year later, we launched our first roll-top backpack, "Adam" – the beginning of Johnny Urban.
Since then, we've been developing sophisticated products that reflect urbanity and spontaneity. Our team in Hamburg works daily on new designs for the urban lifestyle. But we know: there's no such thing as the perfect backpack. Tastes and needs vary.
