MBRC DE OCEAAN-EDITIE
Together against plastic waste
We have been working with our partner MBRC the ocean for several years - for example as part of the annual World Ocean Day. Together we have now developed two special editions - our roll-top backpack "Allen Large" and our fanny pack "Erik" with chic MBRC the ocean elements. Not only the design is special, because we have used even more recycled materials in both products and for every product sold, a part is donated to the Foundation.
WHAT MAKES THE EDITION SO SPECIAL?
EVEN MORE RECYCLED
In order to reduce the consumption of new materials and to give plastic waste a new use, even more components on the backpack are made of recycled material in the special edition. In addition to the main outer material and the inner lining, the tapes on the closure and on the straps as well as the hard plastic buckles are made from recycled waste.

EVEN MORE RECYCLED
In addition to the main outer material and the inner lining, the tape, the click fastener and the cord on the zipper are also recycled. The cord band was made from old fishing nets.
DONATION TO MBRC THE OCEAN
EVERY PURCHASE HELPS
To support the fight against plastic waste on the beaches, we donate a portion to MBRC the ocean with every sale. We donate 15 € for the "Allen Large" roll top and 5 € for the "Erik" fanny pack to the Foundation.
About MBRC the ocean
WEES DE VERANDERING
MBRC the ocean is about paying attention to recycling and sustainability - around the globe, especially to protect our oceans. Eight million tons of plastic waste end up in the oceans every year. In over 15 countries worldwide and at 30 so-called cleaning hubs, MBRC the ocean regularly cleans local beaches.
THE FOUNDATION IS BASED ON THREE PILLARS
SCHOONMAAK
Through a network of over 30 MBRC cleaning hubs, a team of 1,200 dedicated employees, ambassadors and volunteers organize cleanups every day around the world.
RECYCLING
Together with local communities, MBRC implements a waste management system and recycling plan to reduce plastic pollution in our oceans and environment.
EDUCATION
To create more awareness about waste, recycling and sustainability, MBRC has introduced an education program. In doing so, they help the local population to better understand the effects of plastic waste on the ecosystem and their lives.
